OpenTasks Wiki:Privacy policy

No account, no sign-up, and nothing to unsubscribe from.

The server keeps an ordinary request log -- IP address, time, method, path, headers, and, for an edit, the text submitted -- and it keeps it: the IP address in a line is dropped after a year, the rest of the line stays. It is what the wiki is kept running and the spam reverted from.

An edit made without a user name is attributed to nobody: the history shows no name, and the address the edit came from is not put there. Saving an edit sets a cookie, good for a year, so a later edit can be recognised as the same writer's; logging in sets another that lasts a month.

Everything saved on a page is public and stays in the history after it has been taken out of the current version. Do not paste credentials, tokens or private data into a page: people have, and the history keeps them.
